Announcement May 26th - curbside sales & service, online lessons, the future of the rock band program

Non-essential business re-opening time line:

Unfortunately in this ever changing environment it is impossible for me to lay out specific dates for a return to normalcy at MockingBird Music. Instead, I wanted to let you all know what we are hoping will happen.

  • We are offering online lessons for all instruments and voice - if you are not currently enrolled, now may be the perfect time for you to start an instrument, enhance your knowledge and skills, get some songwriting assistance, take those voice lessons you always wanted to, or give the gift of music education to a friend, loved one or a student in needthrough our online GIFT CARD purchases. Lessons are available to purchase individually, in a package of 3, or you can commit to a regular weekly time.

  • Online special orders - choose from thousands of musical items and accessories from our store or through a special order. I can get hundreds of brands crossing every music category including every accessory imaginable, guitars, drums, keyboards, amplifiers, PA and recording equipment, band and orchestra instruments, other instruments (ukuleles, banjos, mandolins, lap steel guitars, etc), lighting and more. Please consider us for all your musical instrument and accessory needs. I match online pricing from verified resellers too! Watch for our clearance sale too!

  • By appointment services for instrument repairs and rentals with curbside drop an pickup. Email me with as many details as you can provide and I will set up a drop off time with you. Please include your phone number.

NEXT (in accordance with state guidelines and re-opening phase plans) :

  • First to re-open will be our retail sales and service operations. We will have limited hours available following state guidelines.

  • Second we would like band rehearsals to resume. We would take all necessary actions to ensure rooms and equipment are sterilized before and after use. Ideally, this would happen 2-4 weeks after the store has re-opened for retail and service operations provided there are no additional guidelines or mandates from the government. We are re-organizing our our main room to keep people distanced 8-10 feet apart.

  • Third would be a return to private in-person lessons. This would be phased in based on students, parents and teachers individual comfort levels. Anyone who would prefer to continue remote lessons during this time, will have that option. Again we will take the steps necessary to ensure sterile environments for students and teachers.

Don't forget...

  • MockingBird T-Shirts are available through the Comun-A-TEE project

  • Accepting donations for students who's families can't afford lessons through our GIFT CARD Scholarship program

  • MockingBird can special order thousands of products and can match online prices.

  • Clearance sale announcement coming soon!

  • Music is therapy!
