NEW UPDATED INFORMATION
(you may read our original announcement below if you had not yet seen it)
You will (or may have already) receive communication from your instructor this week. Please be sure to respond via text and/or email so they know you have received their messages.
As we navigate through this difficult time, we may be adapting and changing our methods and technology as we progress. One thing you can be assured of that will not change, is that our instructors are completely dedicated to providing you the best music education possible.
In addition to the one-on-one lessons, we are discussing many other ideas that will enhance students interest, enjoyment and education of music. We hope you all take advantage of these offerings if applicable and let us know if there are other services you would like us to offer.
BAND REHEARSALS - POSSIBLE CHANGE
We are considering holding some band rehearsals next week. We will be sending out some ideas we have and a survey to get all of your input in the days ahead. Please watch for this important email.
REPAIRS & SALES
I am available during our closed times by appointment for repairs and sales. Just send me an email and we can work out the best way to safely get you anything you need.
OUR INITIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
Following the lead of our local, state and federal governments, we will be limiting our operations over the next two weeks in hopes to mitigate the spread of the virus. Therefore, MockingBird will be closed next week March 16-22.
We will offer remote lessons beginning Monday March 23rd. Our instructors will be either here on site or at their homes, but you can be assured they will do their best to offer the same level of professionalism in their instruction as you would receive face to face.
Our hopes are that we will resume normal operation on Monday March 30th, but again, we will follow the recommendations of our government and health professionals.
Here is a week by week summary with the understanding that this may change
March 16-22 - STORE CLOSED COMPLETELY
No lessons, band rehearsals, retail, or service operations available.
All lessons and band rehearsals will be made up at a later date.
March 23-26 - Limited Closing
Lessons will be held remotely at your regularly scheduled time.
Band rehearsals may not be held.
Staff will be available to take your phone calls for lesson scheduling, and retail and service requests.
March 30th - forward
Our hopes are to resume normal operation.
We realize this is a fluid and changing situation day by day. We will keep you informed via email and postings on our website (www.mockingbirdweb.com)
of any changes to our plans.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATRONAGE
During this difficult time, we sincerely appreciate your continued patronage, your support of music education, and your support of our instructors and our business. We understand these next few weeks present different challenges for every family. Our hopes are that everyone remains healthy and finds ways to meet these challenges.
Remember that music can be therapy and a much needed distraction for everyone. If it's possible while your kids are home with you, encourage them to show you what they are learning, have them teach you, expose them to music you love, push them to create their own songs and make music videos and recordings, suggest and watch music documentaries with them,
have them carve out time each day as "music time". Share with me and/or their instructors any high points and fun music moments they experience.
When we do return to our normal operation below are the steps we will take to continue to mitigate the risk and spread of the virus:
We will take care to wipe down surfaces including keyboards, amplifiers, music stands and door handles after each lesson.
If you are in one of the MockingBird Bands, we have created a complete list of steps we are taking to ensure a clean and safe environment. We are asking all of you to assist in this effort
High touch areas will be cleaned and sanitized throughout the day, in addition to a thorough cleaning each morning.
We will also have wipes and hand sanitizer available throughout
the store for your convenience.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
First and foremost, if you are not feeling well, please do not
attend your lesson or band rehearsal.
Any lessons cancelled due to illness may be made up at a later date
or possibly done remotely.
Wash hands or use hand sanitizer.
Please continue to check our website for updates, and you can always reach me via email. I will be checking phone messages everyday as well.
