Our philosophy is to ensure that all students receive a music education tailored to their individual needs and goals. Instructors utilize traditional and contemporary methods and music, in order to best develop each student's abilities, inspire creativity and enhance the enjoyment of learning to play an instrument or sing.
We encourage performance as a part of a student's journey and offer several ways for students to perform when they feel ready. These include recitals, open mics, and our Play in a Band programs.

The age can vary by instrument and individual, but here is a general guideline for what we have found to be the most successful for many students.
Ages 4+ piano
Ages 6+ drums, ukulele
Ages 8+ guitar
Ages 9+ voice, violin, viola, cello
Ages 10+ bass, most woodwind and brass
Ages 11+ all instruments
Many factors can alter these age ranges including, parents and siblings who also play music, child's maturity and attention span, child's individual passion for music, and prior instruction. We are happy to discuss what may be best for your child on an individual basis.
